This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies. It complements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?“Cookies” are small text files that a website stores on your device. Related technologies include local-storage, session-storage, and server-side session IDs. Under EU law (Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive) any technology that stores or accesses information on a user’s device is treated the same way.
3. Our current practice: strictly necessary onlyWe have designed pixelprotocol.org so that:
- No analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies are placed.
- No preference or functional cookies (e.g., language rememberers) are set.
- The only technology involved is a short-lived server-side session token that keeps the site stable while you browse. This token is stored in memory on our server and is not written to your browser.
Because nothing is written to, or read from, your device, no user consent banner is required. This falls under the “strictly necessary” exemption acknowledged by the EDPB and EU data-protection authorities.
4. How you can control cookies anywayIf you want to block or delete cookies in general, you can change your browser settings. Doing so will not affect pixelprotocol.org, because we do not rely on cookies.
5. Changes to this policyIf we add any non-essential cookies (for example, to analyse traffic), we will:
- Update this Policy, and
- Show a consent banner that lets you accept or reject them as easily as required by the EDPB Cookie-Banner TaskForce.
